Quirky Teens
Find the Right Fit for Your Teen
We want teens to want to come to group.
That means we’re intentional about placement, structure, and expectations—so each teen has the best chance to feel comfortable, included, and successful. When a group isn’t the right fit, it can feel discouraging for everyone involved. Our process is designed to prevent that by matching teens to the group that supports them best.
Quirky Teens is designed for teens who benefit from clear structure and gentle guidance to help them stay regulated, engaged, and connected during group activities.
This group is a good fit for teens who:
Need support with self-regulation and awareness of others
Benefit from adult facilitation during discussions and activities
Can stay engaged without structured rewards
Are building confidence participating in group conversations
The focus is on helping teens feel safe, supported, and successful while strengthening foundational social skills.
Quirky Teens
Peer Space
Peer Space is for teens who are ready for greater independence and more complex social learning. This group is a good fit for teens who:
Can manage emotions and behavior in a group setting
Participate independently with minimal adult support
Are ready to work on perspective-taking and collaboration
Want to navigate peer relationships in a more nuanced way
Our Fit Process
To make sure your teen is placed in the group where they’ll thrive, we use a short, thoughtful intake process:
Fill out the Find Your Quirky Crew form
Next, is getting an idea of if your teen has the same concerns with their social skills as you do. Please have your pre-teen/teen fill this form out: Teen Self-Check - Is Teen Group Right for Me? It is SUPER important your pre-teen/teen fill out the form themselves. We HAVE TO know their opinion of their skills and needs.
Next, please fill this form out: Parent Version - Teen Group Fit Form
The last step is you and your teen meeting with Kida, our group leader, briefly (seriously, 5-10 minutes) on Zoom. She will ask any follow-up questions she has, and you and your teen can ask questions to ensure we are the best fit.
